"Google's so called "transparency" report reveals that only 7% of its reported requests from government has a warrant". I knew it was going to be low, but 7% is just disgusting 🤮!
Great info and a great read as always William!
I love my privacy phone! To all of you that are reading this and are not subscribed, do it and also do yourself a favour and buy a Privacy Society phone and protect yourself!
I like the idea of "Privacy Phone"... but what makes it so much more private? Also, depending on what provider one is using, does that choice minimize the privacy? A little more info on how the Privacy phones are keeping out tracking and data brokering would be helpful.
I go into more detail on this post. https://privacysociety.substack.com/p/layers-of-phone-privacy . There is two big issues. 1. You need a phone operating system and the apps you use adhere to proper privacy. 2. The phone provider is difficult, because your phone provider knows who you are, everywhere your phone has gone and every website or Internet enabled app you use. To minimize that data collection, you need to buy a SIM card and phone with cash, and do a pre-paid phone plan with a Gift Credit Card you bought with cash. What a pain!
Then when you use the phone make sure you use a private DNS and a VPN to hide your traffic. They collect data on so many levels which makes it hard to be actually private. One of the things we are working on for Q2 2024 is a phone number that the cost start at $5 a month and hides your personal information from the phone plan providers, but more on that later.
